About Steve Sokolof

Born and raised in New York with an extensive background in management, customer service and sales Steve was a natural for the NYC real estate industry. His real estate career got into gear in 2005 leasing warehouses and office spaces. Steve then evolved into sales of warehouses, which led to other commercial deals such as mixed-use, multi-family and, his favorite, land for development. Steve became fascinated with NYC zoning and was focusing on land in areas with zoning that was favorable for development of condominiums or warehouses. With extensive knowledge of local zoning FAR (floor area ratios), Steve has pursued these types of properties for possible sale potential, with a focus primarily in the western Queens area of Long Island City and Astoria as well as Sunnyside and Woodside. He has established relationships with developers, and has successfully represented the sponsor in the sales of various residential condominiums. His forte is evaluating properties to determine correct pricing according to what the current market will bear, negotiating deals, recognizing value and potential, and closing the deal. Steve has joined Levin Commercial Real Estate to offer New Jersey real estate purchase opportunities to his New York City clients as well as creating new relationships in New Jersey.
